This collection is all about “emotion coming from nature,” says Martin, who also dreamed of Cannes’s tanned beauties in bikinis, cocktails at sunset, red carpet events and glamorous celebrities as he was sketching the range.
The Mademoiselle de Cannes Collection was handcrafted and designed at the Fairfax and Roberts atelier. Aquamarines, Ceylon and yellow sapphires, pink tourmalines, citrine, amethyst and diamonds have been transformed into statement rings, pear-cut drop earrings and elegant pendants all set in white gold.
Star of the collection is the celebrity piece: La Riviera mounted on a turquoise choker of stingray with a magnificent aquamarine centre stone decorated with a cascade of deep blue sapphires reflective of the crystal pools of the Grand Hotels on the Riviera.
