The highly anticipated Spanish fashion chain opened its doors to the public yesterday. Known for its fast and affordable fashion items, Zara's three-level establishment will not disappoint. The 1,400 square metre retail outlet is packed with the latest must-have high fashion items, as well as every day essentials.

Standout pieces from the autumn/winter range include a camel coloured cape for $39, a hot pink jacket for $139 and a pleated leather skirt for $159. The ranges have been exclusively designed for the southern hemisphere seasonal trends and will feature a twice-weekly “runway to rack” approach, meaning there will be frequent stock turnovers.

Jesus Echevarria, Zara's chief communications officer said: “The Australian spirit is a relaxed way of living so the collection is the first thoughts of our designers who have been studying what they believe will fit in the store here.”

Following the debut of the Sydney store, Zara plans to launch a second establishment on Melbourne’s Bourke Street at the end of June with plans for nationwide stores in the near future.

For Sydney shoppers the simple yet elegant store is spacious and easy to navigate, so now all you need to worry about is how you’re going to fight off the other shoppers to snap up Zara’s latest bargains.
