Best Beauty Looks from Paris Haute Couture Week

Paris couture shows are a great source of inspiration for both wedding dresses and beauty looks, especially if you are searching for fresh, fashion-forward ideas. From silver eyeliners to shiny chignons, hair and make-up stylists were very inventive and created looks that were extremely flattering for those glamorous couture gowns.

Silver Eyeliner on a Bare Face
Metallic eyeliner was used in a completely new way. Worn on a bare face, adhesive silver liner looked very elegant at Dior show and complimented chic sleeveless Rococo wedding gowns inspired by Marie Antoinette. We have seen a very similar make-up look at Alexandre Vauthier’s show with arrow-shaped metallic line drawn underneath the eye.

Romantic Waves and Nude Make-up
Nude look with sculpted face, flushed cheeks and natural lips is one of the most popular bridal make-up styles as it flatters almost any wedding gown. We spotted this look at the Valentino show and it looked fabulous with romantic waves secured with a string of hair and worn with white cape-sleeved gowns and their signature embroidered tulle dresses.

Glittery Smoky Eyes and a Sleek Chignon
Elie Saab’s sparkly dresses embellished with beads and pearls looked even prettier with shimmery silver eyeshadow and coral lip colour. Make-up artist Tom Pecheux created a romantic and light smoky eye look to compliment both the dresses and gorgeous hair gathered in a neat pretzel-shaped chignon with a shiny finish.

Bold Eyes and a Neat Up-do
We also loved dramatic make-up look seen at Atelier Versace show which is great for modern brides who prefer to look a bit daring on their big day. Bold eyes, nude lips and sculpted cheeks looked incredibly sexy with tight and revealing white dresses. Celebrated make-up artist Pat McGrath created a two-toned shimmery cat flick in vibrant shades of blue and paired it with false eyelashes and nude lips, while the hair was super-sleek and tied in a neat bun.
